Vision

To engage volunteers from all walks of life and communities in creating whimsical yarn wigs for children battling cancer and experiencing other forms of medical hair loss.

Goals

1. 1.We have a goal to regularly reach children in countries outside of North America. While we have delivered wigs to children in 53 countries, we have hit a lot of road blocks to getting wigs into many countries since COVID 19. We would like to figure out how to resolve these issues so that the wigs we send to hospitals overseas make it to their destination safely.
2. 2.We would like to see Magic Yarn Chapters in every US state. While we currently send wigs to individuals, hospitals, and charities in every state in the US, we only have chapters operating in 11 US states and one province in Canada. We have found that it is much easier and more effective to engage volunteers in our project when there is a local Chapter to facilitate that involvement.
3. 3.We have recently restructured so that our volunteer staff can operate more efficiently in the following teams: Development, Communications, Events, Fundraising, Chapters, and Supply Management. We want to strengthen this new framework and support these teams and team leaders as needed so that our entirely volunteer staff is supported and not in danger of burnout.
