Mission

United Way of the Columbia-Willamette (UCWC) is a local organization that works to advance the common good by focusing on the basic things we all need for a good life: education, income, and health. Our goal is to create long-lasting changes that prevent problems from happening in the first place. UCWC has been helping people in the four-county Portland/Vancouver area since 1920, and now reaches more than 100,000 people annually. We work with community leaders and service providers to identify and prioritize the needs, leverage contributions, and achieve measurable results. Our grant-funding model identifies partners and projects that promote collaboration, efficiency, innovation, and results. By working together, united, we can inspire hope and create opportunities for a better tomorrow.
