Mission

Children's Medical Research Institute (CMRI) strives to improve the health of children through its support of research and education at the Oklahoma Health Center. Since its inception in 1983, CMRI has raised and leveraged matching funds to create over $50 million to fund pediatric research and education programs. Our current focus areas include: infectious disease, cancer and blood disorders, cystic fibrosis and lung disease, genetic disorders, diabetes and endocrinology, developmental and behavioral pediatrics (ADHD, Autism), clinical child psychology, trauma and pediatric surgery, kidney disease, gastroenterology, pediatric training, ethics in pediatric medicine, and the care for critically-ill newborns and preemies.
