Mission

Girls Inc. of Alameda County's mission to inspire all girls to be strong, smart and bold. Girls Inc. offers academic enrichment activities, skill-building programs, and counseling services to girls and their families. Since 1958, Girls Inc. has challenged girls to explore their potential, attend college, build fulfilling careers and expand their sense of what is possible. Each year Girls Inc. serves more than 7,000 youth and their families through programs offered at over 40 schools and community sites in Alameda County. Girls Inc. supports and incorporates girls' ideas, perspectives, and voices throughout program implementation, development, and evaluation. This youth-centered approach engages girls as problem-solvers, promotes their development, and increases their opportunity to form supportive relationships.
