Mission

The Haven was built from a community outreach effort in 1976 to provide assistance to youth in need. The Haven is an alternative home for young men, ages 9 up to 18, who have been placed in protective care by the State of Florida. Each year, The Haven provides its comprehensive program to an average of 75-80 boys with the average length of stay at more than three years - with many boys staying until age 18. Our mission is to foster the development of each young man's self-esteem and independence in a safe, loving, and stable alternative home. We work as a team to make each day one of balanced satisfaction while teaching the skills necessary for our boys to become self-sufficient and proud adults.
