Mission

Founded in 1981, Atlas Economic Research Foundation's mission is to discover, develop and support intellectual entrepreneurs worldwide who can advance the Atlas vision of a society of free and responsible individuals. At Atlas, we believe that our vision of a free society can be achieved through respect for private property rights, limited government under the rule of law, and the market order. Atlas serves the international market-oriented think tank movement by helping develop independent local think tanks and related programs that advance the ideas of freedom. Today, Atlas supports and works actively with approximately 200 market-oriented think tanks - some from highly developed countries and others from parts of the world where economic freedom is poorly understood.
