Mission
Adopt-A-Family was founded in 1983 by three Palm Beach County women who recognized the need to help families who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless due to a financial reversal, illness, divorce, death or other extenuating circumstances. The organization provides services to local families with children who fit one or more of the following categories: homeless families and their children; families facing major medical problems, placing them in a homeless situation; working poor who do not earn enough to support their families and may be at risk of becoming homeless; or families in a short-term situational crisis at risk of homelessness. Adopt-A-Family is dedicated to restoring families in crisis to stability and self-sufficiency by providing all-encompassing services.
