Mission

In its 26th year of service, the Capital Area Food Bank of Texas (CAFB) currently provides food and grocery products to 370 Partner Agencies in 21 Central Texas counties. The CAFB service area covers 19,604 square miles in Central Texas. The mission of the CAFB of Texas is to nourish hungry people and lead the community in ending hunger. Food and grocery products distributed by CAFB go to human and social service agencies. These Partner Agencies provide hot meals served on-site or groceries to families and individuals in need. In 2006, CAFB distributed more than 16 million pounds of food.
