Mission
Founded in 1981, the Christian Foundation for Children and Aging (CFCA) is a lay Catholic organization whose mission is to walk with the poor and marginalized of the world. We invite people of good will to live in daily solidarity with the world's poor through one-to-one sponsorship, and build community by fostering relationships of mutual respect, understanding and support that are culturally diverse, empowering and without religious or other prejudice. CFCA worldwide community now includes more than 310,000 sponsored children, youth and aging friends in 25 countries, and more than 275,000 sponsors. Project sites are established in developing countries throughout Latin America, Asia, Africa and the Caribbean. Our projects focus primarily on alleviating the conditions of poverty faced by those sponsored and their families.
