Mission
The Florida United Methodist Children's Home creates an atmosphere which enables children and families with special needs to experience God's love and care as presented in the life and ministry of Jesus Christ. Combining Christian influence with a healing, caring, therapeutic community, the Home provides a continuum of highly specialized services designed to strengthen individual and family life. Children come because of sexual abuse, physical abuse, abandonment or other conflicts that have made a normal family life impossible. The children live in one of eleven cottages and attend public school and receive tutoring help at the Home after school. They also attend counseling sessions in our Bruton Counseling Center and enjoy recreation in the gym.
