Mission
Founded in 1980, Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) is a grass roots organization with more than 400 entities nationwide. MADD is not a crusade against alcohol consumption - MADD's mission is to stop drunk driving, support the victims of this violent crime and prevent underage drinking. Since MADD's inception, more than 300,000 lives have been saved. Community programs, victim services, public awareness and prevention campaigns, and public policy initiatives are integral parts of accomplishing the organization's mission.
