Mission

Established in 1982, the North Texas Food Bank (NTFB) passionately pursues a hunger-free community. The NTFB procures donated surplus food and transfers it in usable quantities through nine programs to over 400 member agencies in 13 North Texas counties. These agencies include: Kids Cafes, after-school programs, residential treatment programs, food pantries, emergency shelters, soup kitchens, senior citizen centers, low-income daycare centers and other social service centers. 32 million pounds of food/grocery products were distributed in the last fiscal year. More than 293 million pounds of food has been distributed since NTFB began operations.
