Mission

Founded in 1982, Connecticut Food Bank (CFB) is the largest centralized source of donated, emergency food in Connecticut. CFB is a private organization whose mission is to alleviate hunger by supplying food products and resources to eligible agencies throughout our service areas in Connecticut, and to promote public awareness about the problem of hunger. CFB provides food products to more than 650 soup kitchens, shelters, food pantries, and day care programs in six of Connecticut's eight counties. In 2007, CFB distributed 15.3 million pounds of food.
