Mission
The Alumni Association of the University of Virginia was formed in 1838 to aid, strengthen, and expand in every proper and useful way the University of Virginia and its work, and to develop, strengthen, and utilize the bonds of interest, sympathy and affection existing between the University and its alumni and among the alumni themselves. By using service as the link between alumni and their alma mater, the Alumni Association has a window view into the University's long and proud history. The Alumni Association keeps its members and friends involved in the University's present.
