Mission

The American Lung Association of Illinois-Iowa is a bi-state health organization supported by legions of dedicated volunteers, a professional staff and leading experts in lung disease. We envision a world free of lung disease. Our mission is to make that vision a reality by preventing lung disease and promoting lung health. The American Lung Association of Illinois-Iowa strives to meet its mission through research, education, and public advocacy. The services and programs of the American Lung Association of Illinois include funding lung health research; providing the latest information on lung health, medications, and medical treatments; smoking cessation programs; school based tobacco prevention education programs; and asthma programs.
