Mission

Two of the state's largest organizations serving victims of domestic violence, Women's Haven (founded in 1976) and The Women's Shelter (founded in 1978) have merged to create a cohesive entity named SafeHaven of Tarrant County. As a unified agency, SafeHaven meets a number of needs across Tarrant County, such as providing a stronger voice for victims of domestic violence, offering more opportunities to build a coordinated community response effort to domestic violence and extending a more tightly woven net of services to victims of domestic violence. The mission of SafeHaven of Tarrant County is to end family violence through safety, support, prevention, and social change.
