Mission
Founded in 1989, AIDS Research Alliance (ARA) is a national leader in fast-track independent AIDS research seeking to develop a cure for AIDS and develop strategies to prevent new HIV infections. We tackle HIV on multiple fronts by improving the health of people living with HIV/AIDS, striving to develop vaccines and microbicides that prevent the further spread of HIV, creating Reservoir Ablative Strategies (RAS) that could eliminate HIV from infected individuals, and searching for a cure. AIDS Research Alliance is pioneering a revolutionary business model for conducting medical research in the United States, influencing the direction of HIV research along the way.
