Mission

Dollar Energy Fund works to improve the quality of life for households experiencing hardships by providing utility assistance and other services that lead to self-sufficiency. Founded in 1983 in Western Pennsylvania by a coalition of concerned community and business leaders, Dollar Energy Fund has grown to become the fourth largest fuel fund in the country. With the 2008 expansion into West Virginia, Dollar Energy Fund partners with more than 180 community-based organizations across Pennsylvania and West Virginia. We realize that often when a family is experiencing difficulty with their utility service, there is a need for other assistance as well. Our holistic approach offers more services to those we help.
