Mission

United Way of Lane County's mission is improving lives through the caring power of community. United Way of Lane County knows that the best way to help the most people is to focus on the root causes of the most serious problems. Our model for this work is called Community Solutions, providing a focal point for the vast array of resources and partnerships in Lane County to help us achieve greater community impact. United Way has four Community Solutions goals: Success by 6, Youth on Track; Essentials for Life; and Citizen Engagement. We focus our resources on increasing access to healthcare, increasing early childhood literacy, championing issues related to the needs of the working poor, and increasing funds available for the local human services system.
