Mission
Oregon HEAT is an independent organization founded in 1989 to help low income Oregonians become more energy self-reliant. Oregon HEAT develops and coordinates resources to help low-income Oregonians meet their energy needs and achieve energy self-reliance through energy education and advocacy. Oregon HEAT's primary program objective is to prevent disconnection of utility service during inclement weather by providing bill payment assistance to low income households in emergency situations. Oregon HEAT partners with 34 local community and social service organizations throughout the state to help deliver energy assistance to qualifying households.
