Mission
Originally called the Uganda Children's Charity Foundation, Children of Uganda was founded in 1995 to support and empower hundreds of orphans and vulnerable children in Uganda to lead successful and productive lives. The organization supports two orphanages in Uganda, as well as children living with HIV-positive widowed mothers. Children of Uganda works in conjunction with local non-governmental organizations in Uganda to provide education and support to over 600 children in need. Children of Uganda also produces an award-winning dance troupe featuring children enrolled in its programs who tour internationally to raise funds and increase awareness of AIDS and its impact on children.
