Make-A-Wish Foundation of Philadelphia and Southeastern Pennsylvania grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength, and joy. The Philadelphia and Southeastern Pennsylvania chapter is one of 71 Make-A-Wish Foundation chapters in the U.S. and its territories. The Make-A-Wish Foundation is now the largest wish-granting charity in the world. Granting more than 12,000 wishes a year and 135,000 wishes in the United States since inception, the local Make-A-Wish Foundation of Philadelphia and Southeastern Pennsylvania celebrates 20 years and 2,000 wishes in 2006.
