Mission

Founded in 1998, MedShare International's mission is to bridge the gap between surplus and needs to improve health care and the environment through the efficient recovery and redistribution of surplus medical supplies and equipment to those most in need. Medical supplies and equipment are made available to hospitals and clinics overseas in two ways: by supplying medical mission teams, which carry supplies as extra luggage to host countries; and delivering direct shipments to international applicant institutions. In 2006, MedShare delivered recycled medical supplies and equipment to approximately 125 hospitals and clinics in Central and South America, Africa, and Europe.
