Thanks, Adopt-a-Classroom

My daughter is a first year special education teacher and a recipient of Adopt-a-Classroom funds. Friends and family "adopted" her classroom. They received both a tax benefit and the satisfaction of offering a helping hand and she received the funds necessary to stock her new classroom. The web site was informative and easy to use. Every dollar donated by us went directly into the teacher's account, and every dollar was spent for classroom material. Each purchase generated a note from her to the donors telling them how every dollar was spent. That, combined with her personalized notes and photos made this an enormously satisfying charitable endeavor. I can't speak to the administrative end but as a donor I was very pleased.
