Sponsoring a child through CFA
Posted by Laramy  |  October 12, 2009 5:51:56 AM

We have sponsored a student in India for 10 years. She is able to go to school and receive an education, not possible without CFA. A representative from CFA came to our church in 1998 to talk about the program. Many parishioners are so grateful for this fine organization. Our student writes us at least once a year. Always a joy to hear from her.

Great organization

I have sponsored a child in the Phillippines for 3 years and I would love to visit, but the expenses I would spend to go and see her for 10 days could be better used as a donation! The folks at the main office are always very helpful and kind. There is sooooo much satisfaction gained from sponsorship - nothing beats it!

CFCA

I sponsor 3 children through CFCA and attended 3 MAT trips to Guatemala and will be heading there in February 2009 once more. I have witnessed first hand what CFCA is all about and what they accomplish. I have also talked some of my friends into sponsorship. All I can say is we who sponsor through CFCA are truley doing many small miricales to thoes who have no place or no one to turn to. CFCA is doing a masterful job giving love to people who need it the most. Words are hard to express what the eye's see or what the heart feel's. What we can do is reach out and give a helping hand to thoes less fortunate than ourselves and through CFCA one can really experience what it is to really love your neighbor. I encourage all who can to sponsor through CFCA so you also can get that warm feeling of love in return.

This is a great organization

I also sponsor two children through CFCA, one of them for the past 12 years; and I'm trying to find the funds in my budget to sponsor another. I've visited my "child" in Guatemala and have seen first hand how CFCA helps not just the child, but the family and community as well. They work very hard to develop a relationship between a sponsor and the child (or elderly). The children consider you a "godparent".

For those who can not sponsor a recipient on a regular basis CFCA has several special purpose funds. One that addresses a need very much in the news today is its Food Crisis Assistance Fund. A list of all the special funds is on the CFCA website.

I love CFCA!!

I sponsor 2 children through CFCA and I would recommend this organization to everyone. The money REALLY does go straight to the sponsored families. I visited my sponsored child Lidia in Guatemala last year and saw first hand the impact CFCA makes. Sponsored families are part of a "community" with CFCA, and their benefits go far beyond money and material goods. CFCA gives hope and dignity to the poorest around the world. I would encourage anyone to support them!
