Great charity, but huge amount of mailings.

I get many mailings too. Surely there's a better use of their money.

surprised to read comments

Interesting to read the other comments as I have been giving to Mercy Corp for about two years and have not experienced being sent many mailings and calls. I appreciated the thank you notes. I have been very impressed with Mercy Corp.

Be sure to request no mailings

They send envelopes almost once a week asking for donations. It's full of papers and stickers but unfortunately has no additional content that updates me on their work. Since there's no point to reading the same thing over and over, after awhile I just threw away their mailings. I requested to be taken off their mailings and hopefully that happens soon.

Mercy Corp/Charity Navigator-Great!

When I first contributed to Mercy Corp I was inundated with mailings and phone calls. I let them know I did not want anyone calling me and they immediately stopped. I still receive occasional mailings, however I contribute through Charity Navigator and think it is great that I can cut down on paper and postage stamps, and also have a record of what I spend.
