I don't get it

I will never understand how people can look at that number next to CEO salary and walk away from children or animals or the homeless or the hungry in need. The CEO is salary is .86% of expenses. Administrative costs are 1.6% of total expenses. Maybe he makes that amount because he's doing all the work. Who cares?? If that's what you're looking at to decide where to give, you're not giving out of love, you're withholding support out of envy.

Until the CEO salary is brought in line, I will only donate a minimal amount.

With cost cutting everywhere I agree that CEO salary is high. I am dropping this charity for my yearly donations until they improve.

Thank you for saying that. Anyone reading the professional postings on this website knows non-profit leaders sacrifice one to two thirds (depending on many variables) their potential salary in a for-profit firm to work non-profit. Obviously, many people could read more from this website than user comments.
