Dr. Farmer's work is awe inspiring. But what is equally awe inspiring is that Ophelia Dahl, the Executive Director, remains as committed and altruistic as he and works for such a nominal salary. This should be the model for not-for-profits everywhere!

There is no better, more efficient organization than Partners in Health. More than 95% of the money pays for programs, not administrative/fundraising expenses. Other charities should study the PIH model; they could learn a lot!

If supporting an organization that uses your money wisely is important to you, then choose Partners in Health. It has been around since 1987, and it continues to work miracles every day.

And if you haven't read Mountains Beyond Mountains yet, read it! It's a brilliant and beautifully-written book about Dr. Paul Farmer, one of the founders of Partners in Health.

Partners In Health is the best!
