Comment regarding Marin Education Fund Ratings
Posted by Marin Ed Fund  |  December 16, 2008 7:54:39 AM

The overall rating for Marin Education Fund has been significantly impacted by a low Organizational Capacity rating. For years ended 2005,2006 and 2007, Marin Education Fund saw a decrease to its primary foundation funding, and as a result, needed to reduce program expenses and to draw upon organizational working capital to sustain programs and continue the mission of its 27 years in operation. Marin Education Fund is supporting organization which previously received 100% of its funding from the supported foundation to an organization that reduced its dependency on the foundation to only 50% of funding. While we have seen a drop in revenue, Marin Education Fund has significantly diversified its revenue base with very positive results in donor contributed revenue, with an increase in contributed revenue from outside donors of 17.5% for the year ended June 30, 2008 over June 30, 2007.
