I live in Des Moines Iowa, and have been involved with CCI for a few years. I became familiar with CCI when they were repeatedly mentioned in the news for trying to get the city and state to act against the Wolford Group, a contract home buyer which ultimately declared bankruptcy and resulted in a good long jail term. http://www.state.ia.us/government/ag/latest_news/releases/sept_2003/Wolford_B2.html

The group also works on cleaning up Iowa's air and water (corporate farmers pollute), publicly financed elections, lobbying at the capitol, and a variety of other vital issues. Best of all, CCI involves members and help us work on issues important to us.

Their motto is we talk, we act, we get it done, and CCI really does. Check us out, see what a passionate, intelligent grassroots group can accomplish.
