Prayers from Maria provides webinars to learn about new methods to perform our areas of responsibilities. In addition, software purchases are made to assist in the execution of responsibilities to ensure success. Prayers from Maria also provides mentoring of new employees, and opportunities for internships.

Our network of sunflower fields, Maria's Fields of Hope, have become a beacon for visitors to find hope and solace, while raising awareness of childhood cancer and the lack for funding for childhood diseases. Maria's Felds of Hope bloom annually and have become a destination visited by thousands of people, not only from across the country but around the world. Prayers for Maria has also funded collaborative research grants and think tanks to encourage researchers to share data and findings. This resulted in a $500,000 collaborative grant to Dana Farber Cancer Institute and the University of Cincinnati Children's Hospital. Our Executive Director also sits on a research panel to discuss the ethicacy of cancer treatments on children.

With Covid-19, Prayers from Maria has innovated its fundraising efforts to virtual. We have also increased monitoring of our researchers to ensure that they are still able to perform research in accordance with our grant specifications and were not shut down. Maria's Fields of Hope, our sunflower fields, were still able to provide a destination for visitors to visit for hope and inspiration, as well as learn about childhood cancer and its lack of funding.
