Over the past year, NYBC has been investing in further developing educational programs such as the High School Scholarship Program, the Bloodstock® Scholarship Program, and the Little Doctor’s Program®, which all share a common goal, to work with local youth to demonstrate the importance of volunteerism and community service. Additional programs that provide the national youth community with exposure to world-renown scientists and to a multitude of scientific careers, consist of internship opportunities for undergraduate and graduate medical students, and free accredited transfusion modules.

Through NYBCe's talented and passionate force, NYBC works with millions of individuals, thousands of educational institutions, hundreds of religious institutions, and hundreds of corporate partners for the greater good, where ideas and actions have merged to create lasting, lifesaving collaborations. NYBCe works these organizations to run blood drives, many of which have not returned since the pandemic. The strength of our endeavors is directly connected to the power of these partnerships and are catalysts for innovation.

NYBCe serves our changing community and therefore adjusts in many different areas of the organization. We look at staffing needs and how needs may be different. We are using a variety of communication channels to drive traffic. We partner with various communities to lend their voice in amplifying our message and mission. We adjust schedules, times of collections, and where and how people reach us. We look for additional funding opportunities, further research needs, and needs of staff. NYBCe is developing programs engaging youth in learning about blood, and careers in the field. We continue to create new programs and ideas on how to recruit blood donors.
