Engaged an HR Consultant, conducted a comprehensive bonus structure and salary assessment to ensure we are properly compensating staff. Increased access to outside training, building out of our own internal training programs, and promoted from within when appropriate.

Our non-profit has worked with countless local and national organizations to meet our community's evolving needs. From Superstorm Sandy to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the Affordable Housing Alliance has been a supportive force for our neighbors.

The AHA faced the past year's biggest challenges head-on by focusing on the health and well-being of our staff and clients. By implementing a wide range of safety protocols to reduce the spread of COVID-19, including creating socially distant offices, plexiglass barriers in our workspaces, and through the distribution of personal protective equipment to all of our staff, the Affordable Housing Alliance was able to remain open and weather the storm, all while maintaining the high level of service our communities have come to expect. While in-person outreach was put on hold for a lot of the past two years, the AHA never once had to close to the public, even after the first state of emergency notification in March 2020. Some of our staff was deployed remotely, and our cloud-based application process remained fully functional. The AHA continued to respond to clients and maintain a small team in our offices to receive faxed or mailed applications and documents needed to process all assistance applications. Our staff proactively distributed applications and resources to residents across the Garden State. Even though so many of us were confined to our homes during the pandemic, the Affordable Housing Alliance didn't skip a beat and was here to lend a hand throughout it all.
