Mission

The Taproot Foundation strengthens nonprofits by engaging business professionals in service. We seek to harness human capital to improve the human condition. Historically, pro bono work has been an unreliable source of support for the nonprofit sector. The Taproot Foundation has solved this problem by creating the structure necessary to consistently deliver high-quality pro bono work in volume. Since 2001, we have: awarded over 695 pro bono projects, supported over 500 nonprofit organizations, whose programs collectively serve over 19 million Americans in need, recruited over 9,000 business professionals to volunteer their skills, delivered 302,500 hours of pro bono service, and donated $27.8 million worth of professional services.
