Mission

The Hilton Head Humane Association (HHHA), serving Hilton Head, Bluffton, and Dafuskie, was incorporated in 1976. Our mission is: to provide care and shelter for stray, abandoned and abused dogs and cats; to place animals in stable and loving homes; to promote and provide spaying and neutering to reduce the unwanted animal population; and to educate the community on the proper care and treatment of animals. The HHHA is a haven for lost, abandoned and abused animals. Over 200 animals are cared for at the shelter, with more in foster care until they are ready to come back to the shelter for adoption. Our programs include spay/neutering, microchipping, a feral cat program, and education and outreach.
