Mission
The Gwinnett Children's Shelter is a private agency that grew out of a volunteer effort involving the PTA, business and community leaders and countless individuals who became aware of the growing need for services for the abused and abandoned children of Gwinnett County. Planning and development began in 1986 and the first child was served in the fall of 1987. Currently, the Gwinnett Children's Shelter serves 300-500 children and their families every year. Our mission is strengthening children, youth and families in crisis by providing a broad array of counseling and support services in a safe and nurturing environment.
