Mission
The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Society operates The Dallas Arboretum. Our mission is to build and maintain a public botanic garden which promotes the art, enjoyment and knowledge of horticulture, while providing opportunities for education and research. The Dallas Arboretum and botanic garden is one of the most magnificent gardens in the nation, a visual banquet that is ablaze in color year-round. The beautiful gardens and lush lawns sit on the shores of White Rock Lake. In the past year approximately 402,000 visitor attended the garden, and 65,000 adults and children attended displays, lectures, workshops and interactive activities intended to education and stimulate the public's interest in botany.
