Mission

Founded in 1967, Minnesota Public Radio | American Public Media (MPR | APM) works to enrich the mind and nourish the spirit, thereby enhancing the lives and expanding the perspectives of our audiences, and assisting them in strengthening their communities. MPR broadcasts radio programming to the people of Minnesota, and reflects the culture, events, issues and ideas of Minnesota. MPR provides three services - News and Information Service, Classical Music Service and The Current - operating a 38-station regional radio network and serving a regional population of five million people. APM is the nation's second-largest producer of public radio programs, reaching 15.5 million listeners nationwide each week. National programs include A Prairie Home Companion, Weekend America, Saint Paul Sunday, and Marketplace.
