Mission

Founded in 1933, The University of Tampa (UT) is a comprehensive, private university located in the heart of downtown Tampa. It is the school of choice for 5,800 students from 50 states and U.S. territories and almost 100 countries. Four colleges offer more than 120 programs of undergraduate study through a core curriculum rooted in a liberal arts tradition. Beginning with an innovative first-year student experience, University of Tampa students explore global issues, examine career possibilities, and refine communication and critical thinking skills. Professional masters programs in business, nursing, and education and an Evening College exemplify the University's commitment to the professions and to the community.
