Mission

In 1990, Enterprise Mentors International (Mentors) was established to help poor entrepreneurs overcome the two critical barriers to growth - capital and capacity. As of December 2008, Mentors has served nearly 145,000 families. In addition, we have provided 134,214 loans at an average of $168 each for a total of nearly $22.6 million loaned. Our mission in developing countries is to foster he establishment of partner organizations to assist families that struggle for self-sufficiency to attain a self-reliant livelihood through small enterprise activities by providing principle-based training, character development, counseling, mentoring and micro-finance services for productive purposes. In developed countries, our mission is to Provide those having the means and desire to assist the impoverished in a meaningful and lasting way.
