Mission
The mission of the Palm Beach Zoo is to provide an open-air classroom of living creatures to foster awareness, appreciation, and respect for the natural world. The Palm Beach Zoo is a zoological organization housing approximately 1,500 animals and encompassing over 275 species within 23 acres of lush tropical habitat. Each year, nearly 300,000 people visit the Palm Beach Zoo to learn about the importance of wildlife and environmental conservation. The Palm Beach Zoo is one of the largest educator in Palm Beach County reaching over 186,000 students each year.
