Mission
Founded in 1919, Aloha United Way's (AUW) mission is to improve lives, motivate people to help others, increase resources to meet needs, and inspire solutions to community problems. Over its long history of caring for people on Oahu, AUW has raised millions of dollars for health and human services, brought together the efforts of thousands of volunteers and helped build a stronger, healthier community. Aloha United Way's work is focused on the building blocks for a good life: education, income and health. Specifically, Aloha United Way focuses on the issues of early childhood development, financial stability and independence, homelessness, and crime and drug use.
