Mission

Founded in 1978, the National Recycling Coalition's (NRC) objective is to eliminate waste and promote sustainable economies through advancing sound management practices for raw materials in North America. We host an Annual Congress and Expo each year in a different city to bring our members and others together for several days of outstanding educational and networking opportunities. The Coalition represents advocates from every region of the country, in every sector of the waste reduction field. We provide national leadership and build consensus on important recycling issues; develop meaningful partnerships; provide tools and resources for our members; advocate for recycling programs at all levels; and offer professional education and networking opportunities.
