Mission
Founded in 1970, the Memphis Botanic Garden Foundation supports the municipally owned Memphis Botanic Garden by funding capital improvements, educational programs, administrative support and other activities. Memphis Botanic Garden encompasses over 96 acres of sweeping vistas, lakes and woodlands, display gardens and the renowned Japanese Garden of Tranquility and Sensory Garden. This Garden annually serves in excess of 165,000 people of the region including more than 35,000 through various education programs.
