Mission
The mission of the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra (FWSO) is to provide symphonic performances at the highest level of artistic excellence; to promote symphonic music to the widest possible audience; and to serve and enrich our community. During the FWSO's 2007-2008 season in the magnificent Bass Performance Hall, more than 275,000 people from all walks of life experienced 238 top-notch performances and programs including a diverse array of Symphonic, Pops and educational concerts. As the foundation of Fort Worth's performing arts, the Orchestra continued to serve as the resident orchestra for the Fort Worth Opera, Texas Ballet Theater, and Southwestern Seminary Oratorio Chorus. The FWSO's extensive education program is unparalleled among orchestras of similar size. In 2007-2008, more than 73,000 people attended 92 educational concerts.
