Organization Mission
ABOUT PASADO'S SAFE HAVEN: Our mission is to End Animal Cruelty. For more than 25 years, we have been working to systematically transform the animal protection landscape in the state of Washington for the better. Combined, our four programs offer comprehensive solutions to the complex problem of animal cruelty. Ultimately, we help people reimagine their relationships with animals - creating a better world for humans and animals alike. INVESTIGATIONS & RESCUE: We are improving the way the criminal justice system responds to crimes against animals. We investigate reports of animal cruelty and neglect, provide rescue for victim animals and provide trainings for law enforcement, prosecutors, veterinarians, and animal control. SANCTUARY: We provide sanctuary, rehabilitation and adoption services to 200+ animals each year, including dogs, cats and farmed animals - most of whom arrived from cases of cruelty or neglect, allowing them a second chance at life. PET SERVICES: We are working to reduce shelter overpopulation through innovative high-volume, high-quality spay/neuter and food bank programs for income qualified families. EDUCATION & ADVOCACY: We work to strengthen laws that benefit animals and help people connect with animals in new ways through public tours, events and educational programming.
