Mission

The United Way of Berks County is committed to achieving greater community impact by focusing all of its available roles and resources to create lasting changes for the Berks County Community. To achieve this goal, the United Way has implemented a business model that helps to identify the critical issues facing our community, and collaboratively works toward finding solutions that will create lasting change. An integral part of this process has included the formation of Community Impact Councils around five different focus areas: building self-sufficiency, caring for people in crisis, nurturing children and strengthening families, promoting health and independence, and developing community capacity.
