Mission

Cat Care Society (CCS) was founded in 1981 to improve the quality of life for homeless, injured and abused cats in the Denver metropolitan area. We operate a cage-free shelter for homeless and abused cats that provides adoption, counseling, humane education, and community outreach services to enrich the lives of people and cats. The Society sponsors educational programs that promote responsible pet ownership, humane treatment of all animals, and to reduce pet overpopulation. We provide community outreach programs that improve the quality of life for cats and people and we are a friend to all cats. The shelter provides a temporary refuge for up to 50 cats until a permanent home can be found for each.
