Mission

Lake Forest Academy (LFA) is an independent, coeducational college preparatory boarding school offering a dynamic, challenging, and diverse high school experience. LFA was established in 1857 and it has been committed to a singular focus of preparing students for high levels of college achievement ever since. LFA strives to embody in its practices and to cultivate in its students excellence of character, scholarship, citizenship, and responsibility. At LFA, students learn valuable lessons not only in the classroom and on the athletic fields but also in the dormitories, student center and dining hall.
