Mission

No More Homeless Pets in Utah (NMHPU) was founded in 2000 thanks to a generous five-year grant from Maddie's Fund, The Pet Rescue Foundation. During this five year period, Best Friends Animal Society acted as NMHPU's parent organization providing mentoring and additional support. Although Best Friends continues to assist NMHPU via sponsorship support, today NMHPU is a fully independent organization. NMHPU fulfills its statewide mission by promoting and facilitating pet adoptions and by offering low and no-cost spay/neuter surgeries throughout the state. We also focus on collaborating with other Utah shelters, rescue groups, veterinarians, and local governments to end pet overpopulation and to enhance the human-animal bond. In 2007, we serviced 21 Utah counties.
